ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Trish Reppert! My passion is floral design, and I take great pride and pleasure in sharing the joy of flowers with others. Whether designing for a birthday, anniversary, special occasion, or just any day of the year, I strive to provide exceptional customer service. My floral designs are tailored to be as unique as each recipient.
I also love throwing parties! It's so much fun coming up with themes, incorporating those themes throughout each and every aspect of the festivities, and making a party become an experience! When your guests come to one of our flower arranging events, they get to immerse themselves into the art of floral design, learn something new, and take away their own creation to enjoy or share with someone else!
I became a Certified Floral Designer in 2021, through the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD). I’ve worked with event florists in PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, and the DC area. I continually learn from floral industry leaders to stay innovative in all aspects of design, as well as learning sustainable practices.
Each year, I join my regional AIFD family at the Philadelphia Flower Show, assisting in the organization's exhibit to the show. The title of last year's Bronze Award Winning exhibit was "Immersed", a colorful display of 11 individual designers, each showcasing a monobotanical and monochromatic design. Each designer was assigned a color and could choose any flower to work with. I was assigned orange, and chose to create a design with the fabulous Lily! When thinking of things that were orange, traffic cones came to my mind (yes, traffic cones!) Taking an everyday, mundane item and elevating it (literally!) was a challenge I eagerly accepted. I utilized all white traffic cones and let the orange lilies burst out of them, cascading down from above and coming up from a "pothole" I created for the design. If you scroll down, you can see the vision come to life!
The 2024 Philadelphia Flower Show found AIFD's exhibit, "Gathered", again earning the Bronze Award for Best in Show! Over 60 designers and volunteers came together to feature florals from around the world. Inspired designs from Japan, Italy, Africa, Australia, Canada, Peru, Hawaii, Columbia, Holland and Thailand, displayed the various floral materials we as florists acquire from each region. As part of Team Thailand, we created a Floating Island, representing Thailand's Khao Sok National Park, showcasing gorgeous orchids and vibrant plants arising out of the sea. You can see pictures below of our creation!
Over the summer, I attend the AIFD annual Symposium, a conference of designers from all over the world. Last year was my third year working behind the scenes at the conference, assisting designers in creating magical displays. Seeing someone smile through the art of floristry inspires me and fuels my passion. Here's hoping you can be inspired and try Making It Floral!
